To predict how people will behave in the future, we need a clear, unbiased understanding of their current behavior.

People are terrible at recalling what they’ve done in the past or what they will do in the future.

We use sophisticated approaches to design experiments that measure actual behavior vs. relying solely on what people claim.

Examples

  • Want to test which of several product concepts will resonate most with consumers?

We can do this by creating different websites that showcase each product concept. We then recruit people to view the website (either recruiting them from survey panels or by running ads that bring them to the site), and we measure how they interact with each website.

We determine which product concepts resonate with consumers by measuring how long they read different elements of the website, which buttons they click on, and how many people sign up to be notified when the product is available. We have norms/benchmarks for each of these behaviors, so we can identify if your product concept is a real winner!

  • Want to understand the ideal way to articulate the benefits of your product (through claims or imagery)?

We can run social media ads that are identical in all ways except the claims/imagery we are testing. We then measure how consumers respond to each ad to identify the top claims/imagery.

  • Want to identify which product package is most effective at driving purchases?

We create virtual shopping experiences that mimic eComm websites, showing your product with either the new package or the current package.

We then recruit consumers to go through a simulated shopping experience, and measure whether consumers who see the new pack are more likely to click on the product, add it to their cart and purchase it.

  • Interested in better understanding how and when consumers are using your products?

We use connected devices and cameras (with the permission of the consumer of course!) to actually measure how and when people use your products instead of just asking them.
